| Description | Not all library activities took place within library walls. Hild Regional Library regularly produced a children's story hour in Welles Park. Each week, librarians prepared impromptu dramatizations of one of the stories, often with masks and signs. By the 1940s, more than 1, 000 children participated annually in the program, which became a community event. Black and white photo, 21 x 26 cm. |
