DescriptionStirrups that accompany the modified McClellan officers' saddle. According to Grand Army of the Republic records, Ulysses S. Grant used these stirrups in the Battle of the Wilderness (1864) and the Appomattox Campaign (1865). Donated by Grant's son Frederick, the stirrups are part of the Library's GAR Collection.
