DescriptionMayor Harold Washington was the special guest of Tonti Elementary School on March 20, 1987 for their annual International School Festival. The Festival aimed to celebrate and highlight the multi-ethnic patchwork that makes up Chicago. The students performed national dances, recited poetry, brought in food and wore clothing from their native countries.
