Description	At a press conference on June 24, 1987, Mayor Harold Washington joined representatives of the Fair Electric Rates Coalition, including Alderman Bobby Rush (left) and David Vargas of the Northwest Community Organization, in endorsing a City Council resolution opposing Commonwealth Edison's recent rate hike request. The resolution was introduced in the City Council immediately following the press conference.
