| Title | Lurie Garden, aerial view of construction, March 12, 2004 |
| Description | Aerial view showing the construction of the Lurie Garden. Construction has begun on the southwest Exelon Pavilion, designed by architect Renzo Piano. Construction continues on the BP Bridge and the south end of the trellis of the Pritzker Pavilion to the north of the Garden. Both the light and dark plates are slightly tilted to the south, which allows more sunlight to reach over 200 species of plants there, and gives a better view of the Garden from the Art Institute of Chicago across Monroe Street. |
