DescriptionLess than four months before the opening of Millennium Park, workers continue to install the stainless steel shingles, or "scales” onto the paneling over the subframe of the Bridge. Protected by a thin plastic film, each shingle is around two feet by three feet and was manufactured by Custom Metal Fabricators in Corona, California, under the direction of Permasteelisa of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
