BP Bridge, structural steel, November 12, 2003
TitleBP Bridge, structural steel, November 12, 2003
DescriptionWork continues on the eastern approach ramp of the BP Bridge as the subframing for the stainless steel shingles transforms the structure to look like a rollercoaster! As was the case for constructing the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Catia software, a three-dimensional computer-aided design software originally developed to design fighter jets, was used for the construction of the BP Bridge because traditional, two-dimensional drawings were not sufficient.
