DescriptionProject superintendent Chris Smith of W.E. O'Neil Construction Company (left) prepares to be filmed for Crown Fountain. Artist Jaume Plensa wanted everyone involved with building the Fountain to be filmed for the Fountain. Mery Palarea-Lobos of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (right) also recruited subjects for the videos by contacting local community groups. The finished collection of around one thousand videos of Chicagoans' faces were carefully selected to match Chicago's diverse population at the turn of the new millennium.
