| Description | A test-run of the reservoir portion of Crown Fountain before installation of the reflecting pool. In the completed fountain, the black granite tiles of the reflecting pool are held in place 1/4-inch below the surface of a reservoir of water that is nearly two-feet deep. The north tower has been fitted with all but the last LED panel which will go behind the "gargoyle" nozzle. The Chicago Cultural Center, formerly the Chicago Public Library, is visible in the background, as well as the Smurfit-Stone Building, the Carbide and Carbon Building, and One Prudential Plaza. |
