| Title | Crown Fountain, tower wall mock-up, ca. July 18, 2002 |
| Description | An early mock-up using wooden blocks representing glass bricks to test possible structures for the walls of the fountain's towers. This tongue and groove grid was not adopted in the finished fountain. In order to get the image clarity they desired, the glass bricks had to be relatively thin, making them proportionally more like tiles. Introducing structure to the walls was a major challenge, and several ideas were tried before a solution was discovered. |
