DescriptionView of the omphalos, a Greek word meaning "navel", from below. The omphalos was the first plate to be attached to the structural steel. Buildings visible in the background include 30 North Michigan Avenue (also known as the Michigan Boulevard Building), the Heritage at Millennium Park under construction, and the Smurfit-Stone Building.
