Buildings along east Randolph Street are visible in the background, including the Smurfit-Stone Building, Millennium Park Plaza, One Prudential Plaza, Two Prudential Plaza, and the Aon Center. Other visible buildings include Three First National Plaza, Willoughby Tower, the Pittsfield Building, the Chicago Title & Trust building, 77 West Wacker Drive (sometimes called the United Building, formerly known as the RR Donnelley Building), and the Leo Burnett Building. This is one of a series of photographs that follow the intended route the sculpture was to take from the Queen's Landing at Monroe Harbor, north along Lake Shore Drive, west on East Monroe Street, and north through Millennium Park to SBC Plaza. The plan to move the fully assembled sculpture from a barge in Monroe Harbor to Millennium Park was cancelled when it was decided that the sculpture would be trucked to Chicago in pieces, and assembled on site. |
