| Title | Cloud Gate, transportation study, damaged tree, ca. August 21, 2002 |
| Description | A damaged tree trunk. A plan was in place to photograph everything in the proposed path of the sculpture before the move, to document any damages resulting from the move. This is one of a series of photographs that follow the intended route the sculpture was to take from the Queen's Landing at Monroe Harbor, north along Lake Shore Drive, west on East Monroe Street, and north through Millennium Park to SBC Plaza. The plan to move the fully assembled sculpture from a barge in Monroe Harbor to Millennium Park was cancelled when it was decided that the sculpture would be trucked to Chicago in pieces, and assembled on site. |
