The lower half of the excavation is in clay and the upper half in wet sand, which is supported by five sets of 6 x 4 inch maple cants. The end of the three-ring 10 foot brick sewer finished the preceding day is shown. This is 1268 feet south of the center line of Leland Avenue, February 18, 1927 |
