DescriptionThe World's Columbian Exposition ran from May 1 to October 30, 1893. One guidebook described the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building as "The greatest structure on the Exposition grounds and the largest building of the kind ever erected." It was 1, 687 feet by 787 feet and sat along the lakefront in the middle of the fairgrounds. Exhibits ranged from furniture to public schools. Flinn, J., ed.
