DescriptionThe World's Columbian Exposition ran from May 1 to October 30, 1893. The Agricultural Building was 500 x 800 feet, and the annex was 300 x 500 feet. It was built near the shore of Lake Michigan facing the Grand Basin. Exhibits included "breads and biscuits, starches and pastes, sugars and syrups, malts and liquor... all types of meat and dairy products, [and] every fruit and vegetable known to man."
